Deep work on a Mac: a timer, a nudge, and a companion that hushes

Focus is easy to lose and annoying to get back. SideDock helps in three ways: it counts, it nudges, and it keeps quiet.

It counts: the Focus Timer

Put the Focus Timer in a dock and start a round: focus, a short break, and a long break every fourth round, the Pomodoro way. The time left sits in the notch, so you can check it without breaking stride.

It nudges: Breaks

Breaks keeps track of how long you’ve been at it, and nudges you to stand up and rest your eyes. Time away from the Mac counts by itself, so a real break resets it without you pressing anything.

It keeps quiet: Pip waits

Pip, SideDock’s companion, holds its notices while you’re on a call, presenting, watching something full screen, or in a Focus. Only what can’t wait comes through. When you’re back, it catches you up in one go instead of ten.

One tile for the switches

The Controls tile puts Keep Awake, Dark Mode, Focus, Hide Desktop Icons and Mic Mute in one place. Turn on Keep Awake for a long export or download, and the notch shows how long it has left.

And a Focus you can see

When a Focus is on, the notch says which one, so you never wonder why things have gone so quiet.
